Guidelines
Flag City Honor Flight, a hub affiliated with the Honor Flight Network, recognizes American Veterans for their sacrifices and achievements by flying them to Washington, D.C. to see THEIR memorial for FREE. A veteran does not need to have served during a time of conflict to qualify for an Honor Flight. Top priority is given to WWII and terminally ill Veterans from all conflicts/wars. After that the next priority will be Korean Era and Vietnam Era Veterans.
In order to assure the safety of our Veterans, Guardians will fly with the Veterans on every flight providing assistance and helping Veterans throughout the day as needed. This makes the day memorable, exciting, and safe for the Veteran.
Volunteer Guardians fly with the Veterans on every flight. If a Veteran has a family member or friend to be considered as a Guardian, please click here for more information. We CANNOT guarantee that your family member or friend will be chosen as your Guardian.
For questions or information concerning Veterans please email us at veteranapplication@flagcityhonorflight.org.
As of May 7, 2025, ALL airline passengers are required to present a REAL ID compliant license or acceptable alternative identification to pass through security at Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoints.
